Project Scope
Led the design and construction of a new greenhouse facility for Longwood Gardens through Design/Build joint venture with General Contractor (Bancroft Construction).
Scope of Work Included:
- Development of the greenhouse components design and scope of work
- Provide budget pricing to allow Longwood to prioritize based upon their budget
- Establishing greenhouse bid packages
- Solicitation and qualification of greenhouse material suppliers
- Procure greenhouse structure (Van Wingerden) and mechanical components (heaters, controls, shade, benching, lighting
- Daily project management and quality control of contractors throughout all phases of work
- LLK self-performing erection and glazing of a Van Wingerden greenhouse structure with polycarbonate glazing, 2 individually controlled compartments, environmental controls, heater units, evaporative cooler units cooling, shade curtains, HPS lights, and HAF fans
